Dates: Sunday, July 8 to Friday, July 13, 2018 (6 days).  

Drop off by 1 PM on the 8th.  

Pick up at 12:30 on the 13th.

Location: Winchendon School, Winchendon, MA

Cost: $600. Includes all room and board. Junior Counselors (HS graduates) pay $300.

Ages: 14 to 18 

Purpose: This camp is for experienced skiers who can skate and classic rollerski. You should have both classic and skate rollerskis, boots, and poles and be using them regularly. The camp requires a good level of fitness. It is not a "learn to ski" camp.  

To register for the camp you must:
  1. Fill out the online registration form at right (be sure to fill in ALL of the information). Note that you will need to have the athlete's NENSA number (available via Note as well that annual NENSA memberships expire on May 31.
  2. Print and fill out the NENSA waiver form and send it along with a check for $600 made out to CSU to:

Camp details:

We will stay at the Winchendon School in the town of Winchendon, MA. This comfortable prep school is located on a scenic hilltop surrounded by a beautiful golf course. (Parents dropping off campers – the golf course is open to the public and is very enjoyable to play). We will eat our meals in the school cafeteria.


  • Rollerskiing (with video) on the quiet back roads.
  • Hiking and running on the Wapack and Midstate trails
  • Hill-bounding
  • Swimming in the local lakes.
  • Strength training
  • Discussions on psychological preparation for training and racing

Please bring:

  • Classic and skate rollerskis (1 pair of combi skis are fine)
  • Rollerski poles with appropriate tips
  • Helmet
  • Classic and skate boots
  • Running shoes
  • Hill-bounding poles (10 cm shorter than classic)
  • Water bottle and carrying belt pack.
  • Heart rate monitor if you own one
  • Sports watch
  • Notebook to record what you've learned
  • Sunscreen
  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Sleeping bag or linens
  • Pillow
  • Window fan
  • Several sets of running shorts, shirts, and socks
  • Casual clothes
